About the CUT-OFFS and typical finish times for Nov. 16 R.O.X. event: We have a suggested cut-off of 5 hours 20 mins. (1:30 p.m.) at 21 miles for those wanting to continue to 50Km (31.5 miles according to our course certifier).

A runner who does a flattish road marathon in 5:00, or easy 50Km in 6:15, might take 8 hours for our 50Km. There are some easy runnable stretches, including over 1 mile of road at the start, but also some DECEPTIVE ups-and-downs through arroyos and canyons. The elevation varies from 4,020′ to about 4,400′, with no single climb greater than 120′
BUT many endless 20-40′ grades. Footing varies tremendously from sandy to packed dirt to rocky.
